Actress Kim Go-eun expressed her gratitude to her close friend, Lee Sang-yi, for his special appearance in the film.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, during a press conference and media screening of the film Laws of Love in a Big City held at Megabox COEX in Seoul, Kim Go-eun thanked Lee Sang-yi for his cameo, saying, "I am very grateful to him. If Lee Sang-yi ever needs me, I am always ready to run to him. Thank you, Lee Sang-yi."
Kim Go-eun and Lee Sang-yi are close friends and classmates from the 2010 cohort at the Korea National University of Arts. The two have maintained a strong friendship, continuing to support each other even after their debuts in the entertainment industry.
Although Lee Sang-yi’s role in the film is brief, he agreed to the cameo to support Kim Go-eun. He appears in the later part of the movie, delivering heartwarming scenes that leave an impact on the audience.
Laws of Love in a Big City tells the story of Jae-hee (Kim Go-eun), a free spirit who doesn't care about others' opinions, and Heung-soo (Noh Sang-hyun), who is accustomed to keeping his distance from the world, as they navigate their own unique way of love. The movie is based on the 2019 short story "Jae-hee" from the collection of the same name by author Park Sang-young.
The film is set to release on October 1.
