The movie 'Hwaran' starring actors Hong Sa-bin and Song Joong-ki ranked first in advance reservation rates on its opening day, giving a green light to box office success.

'Hwaran' is a noir film depicting the story of a boy, Yeon-gyu (Hong Sa-bin), who wants to escape from the hellish reality, meets the organization's mid-level boss, Chi-geon (Song Joong-ki), and ends up in a dangerous world together. 'Hwaran', which attracted attention by entering the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival held last May, meets audiences through its official release.
Attention is focused on whether 'Hwaran', which has received favorable reviews from critics and word of mouth from audiences through pre-release press previews and screenings at the Busan International Film Festival, will be able to attract audiences in off-season theaters.
